What exactly is an errand service?

We do your "To-Do List!"
We take care of the chores and errands that you either don’t have the time for, or would simply prefer not to do.

We provide the services that seem to eat up many of your daily hours, leaving you time to pursue the things that matter most to you, whether it’s putting your feet up and reading a novel, spending precious time with family and friends, or advancing your career.

We can also be a big help to new parents, senior citizens and their caregivers, and those who may be recuperating from an illness or injury and are unable to get around as well as usual.  Small businesses or home businesses with no budget for secretarial help may find our "on-call" service extremely helpful (no hiring, tax, or payroll hassles).  Without required memberships or long-term contracts, our services can be used on an as-needed basis.

Who can use an errand service?
Everybody!  Senior citizens, busy families, new parents, and small businesses can all benefit from the services we provide.  We can help take care of all the little details and give you the peace of mind of simply knowing that everything on your “to-do” list is actually done!  

What and how do you charge for errand services?
KC At Your Service charges $25.00 per hour for most errands, with a standard 10% discount for senior citizens.  You are responsible for all expenses incurred (cost of your groceries, postage, dry cleaning, etc.).  There is a one-hour minimum, thereafter, you will be charged in 15-minute increments.  There are no membership fees, obligations, or “hidden charges.”  Our hourly rate is standard, whether you call us three times a week or once a month.  

 
Can I set up a monthly or weekly schedule?
Of course.  We'd be happy to sit down with you at any time to discuss how we can best meet your needs.  At that time, we can work out a weekly or monthly schedule of service that suits you, or you can simply remain on an “on-call” basis.  The choice is always yours.  Also, see our Rates page for discounted monthly plans.

What methods of payment do you accept?
We currently accept payments by cash, check, credit card and Paypal.  Payment is due at completion of services, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Do I have to call weeks ahead to schedule?
Absolutely not.  While we prefer at least a 24 hour notice for most errands in order to best schedule for the needs of all clients, we certainly understand that it isn’t always possible.  There may be days when you simply don’t know ahead of time that you will need help.  We will make every effort to accommodate same-day requests, so please don’t hesitate to call whenever the need arises.

What if I want to order errand services for someone else?
Gift certificates are always available, or we can work with clients to set up a custom plan.  For instance, if you have an elderly relative or new parents that you would like to set up weekly, monthly, or even one-time services, we will be glad to work out the details with you.  We can even give you a call after every visit to your relative’s home to let you know how things are going.  Whatever you need, you may also want to consider a discounted package plan.
